First Day of Summer

Finally got some flowers planted for the clay pots on the stairs.  Went with pansies and petunias this year, I absolutely love the vintage colors of pansies and managed to snag some at the greenhouse.  Yay!  Now lets just hope the darn squirrels refrain from digging them up this year so they have space to hide their peanuts!  I really tried to pack the plants in each pot so there's not much room for the critters to root around.  Fingers crossed.

Also got some cross stitch stash I'd ordered from Anita's Little Stitches.  Like clockwork it took two weeks to get here, at least I know the mail is pretty regular these days.  But its always so hard to wait those two weeks between ordering and having new stuff delivered!

Couldn't resist starting one of them, and since I ordered the threads as well as the chart, all I had to do was find a piece of fabric.

Another........start....

Started yet another new project, this week's start is Summer Splendour by Little House Needleworks, no doubt it will wind up in the unfinished pile as soon as the July designs from Country Cottage Needleworks get here, I ordered the threads with them and I know I have fabric I can use.  Hopefully they'll be here this week.

Chim Chiminee

Spent some time hanging out in Denny and Darrell's back yard this afternoon.  Its hot and sunny and really felt like summer today.  Mac didn't seem as thrilled to stay outside, she kept wandering around looking at door as if to say, "Hey let me in where its air conditioned and I can sleep in comfort!' but she finally found a place to settle down LOL.
Progress is slow on the Lizzie Kate Green Flip-Its.  I can't figure out if the design just isn't speaking to me right now, or if its because I put my 8" and 11" Q Snaps together to make a different size frame for it. I'm trying to keep plugging away but I'm definitely not getting far very fast.

Vroom Vroom

A photo for Project Life, some antique cars that were on display during the cycle-athon down at the hospitals this afternoon.  I missed most of them, in fact as I got down there, several were on their way off the lot.  Rats!  But these two were parked together and I think they turned out to be quite a nice shot.
